Eine intime Hochzeit in den Bergen | Julia & Daniel auf der Grasbergalm
Eine versteckte Berghütte hoch über dem Zemmtal, sanftes Berglicht und ein Tag voller Liebe — Julia und Daniels Elopement war der perfekte Rückzugsort.
Julia und Daniel waren von Anfang an ein richtig sympathisches Paar.
Schon beim ersten Telefonat haben wir uns super verstanden — und ich hatte sofort das Gefühl, dass unser Fotoshooting etwas ganz Besonderes werden würde.
Ihre Hochzeit war ein Elopement, nur die beiden ganz für sich, in einer kleinen Hütte hoch oben in den Bergen. Die Grasbergalm liegt auf den steilen Hängen über dem Zemmtal, das sich vom Zillertal aus südlich durch das Dorf Ginzling bis zur italienischen Grenze zieht. (Mehr Infos zur Hütte findet ihr hier.)
Die Grasbergalm bietet traumhafte Ausblicke über die umliegenden Wiesen, auf denen Kühe friedlich grasen. Es gibt sogar einen kleinen Bergsee, in dem man schwimmen kann – wobei wir (falls ihr euch fragt) an diesem Tag lieber trocken geblieben sind! Dafür bot der See wunderbare Möglichkeiten für Fotos.
Eine besondere Entdeckung während unseres Shootings war ein altes Haus in der Nähe. Die Besitzer erzählten uns, dass es gerade renoviert wird, innen aber noch genauso aussieht wie früher.
Durch die alten Fenster fiel sanftes Licht hinein und zauberte eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre.
Ich konnte nicht widerstehen und nutzte die Gelegenheit für ein paar einzigartige Aufnahmen – die rustikale Stimmung passte perfekt zu Julia und Daniels entspanntem Stil und ihren Hochzeitsoutfits.
Wie so oft in den Bergen spielte das Wetter eine wichtige Rolle. Dichte Wolken zogen auf, aber anstatt uns davon stressen zu lassen, nutzte ich die Stimmung für stimmungsvolle Bilder.
Das weiche, diffuse Licht zauberte wunderschöne Hauttöne und ließ die Schatten ganz sanft verschwinden – besser geht es kaum.
Wir verbrachten einen wundervollen Tag zusammen, von der emotionalen Trauung bis hin zum entspannten Paarshooting.
Es war mir eine große Ehre, an diesem besonderen Tag an ihrer Seite zu sein – ein Tag voller Lachen, Liebe und der Magie der Berge.

An Intimate Elopement in the Mountains | Julia & Daniel at Grasbergalm
A hidden cabin high above the Zemm Valley, soft mountain light, and a day full of love — Julia and Daniel’s elopement was the perfect mountain escape.
Julia and Daniel were a fun couple from the very start.
The first time we spoke on the phone, we immediately hit it off — and I had a feeling their photoshoot would be something special.
Their wedding was an elopement, just the two of them, tucked away in a cabin high up in the mountains. The hut, called the Grasbergalm, sits perched on the steep slopes above the Zemm Valley, the valley that runs south from the Zillertal, through the village of Ginzling, all the way toward the Italian border. The Grasbergalm offers beautiful views over the surrounding fields, where cows graze peacefully nearby. There's even a small mountain lake you can swim in — although in case you're wondering, we didn't go for a dip! It did, however, make for some stunning photo opportunities.
One of the more unexpected finds during the shoot was an old house just a short walk away. The owners told us it was in the process of being renovated, but inside, it still looked exactly as it would have decades ago. Light streamed in through the old windows, creating a soft, atmospheric glow.
I couldn't resist taking some unique shots there — the rustic charm of the house paired perfectly with Julia and Daniel’s relaxed style and wedding outfits.
As always with the mountains, the weather played its part. Thick clouds rolled in, but instead of worrying about it, I welcomed the soft, enveloping light they brought. It’s the kind of natural light that makes skin tones glow and smooths out the shadows in a way that’s hard to beat.
We spent a wonderful day together, from the intimate ceremony to the relaxed portrait session.
It was an absolute honour to be part of such a special occasion for Julia and Daniel — a day filled with laughter, love, and the magic of the mountains.
