Up in the clouds

Während die Welt langsam aus einer scheinbar ewigen Reihe von Sperren und Einschränkungen herauskommt, können wir zu einem Anschein von Normalität gelangen. Das Wetter macht aber noch was es will und an diesem Tag waren wir auf der Granat Alm am Penken oberhalb von Finkenberg/Mayrhofen. Wir alle haben Bilder von Bergen mit einem wunderschönen blauen Himmel gesehen, aber wir dürfen nie vergessen, dass das Wetter an mehreren Orten auf dem Kontinent gemacht wird und die Berge ein wichtiges sind. Wir hatten also komplettes Whiteout (na ja, fast so wie es Winter will!) Ich dachte sowieso, dass ich ein paar Aufnahmen machen würde, die die Wolke als Negativraum verwenden.

Das interessante Gebäude auf den Fotos ist die Granat Kapelle, die vor ca. 5 Jahren neben dem Stausee errichtet wurde, der die Beschneiung für den Winter speist.

Die Fotos wurden mit einem iPhone 11 pro und Lightroom Mobile gemacht (was übrigens kostenlos ist, ok man bekommt nicht alle Funktionen, aber man bekommt die wichtigen Sachen!).

Vergessen Sie nicht, dass die Kamera, die Sie dabei haben, die beste ist!

As the world slowly comes out of what seems like an eternal series of lockdowns and restrictions, we can get to a semblance of normality. The weather however is still doing what it wants and on this day we were up the mountain at the Granat Alm on the Penken Mountain above Finkenberg/Mayrhofen. We all have seen images of the mountains with a beautiful blue sky but we must never forget that the weather is made in several places on the continent and the mountains are a major one. So we had complete white out (well nearly as it wants winter!) anyway I thought that I would get off some shots using the cloud as negative space.

The interesting building in the photos is the Granat Kapelle which was built about 5 years ago next to the reservoir that feeds the artificial snow making for the winter.

Photos were made with an iPhone 11 pro and lightroom mobile (which is free by the way, ok you don’t get all the functionality but you get the important stuff!).

Don't forget it is the camera that you have with you that is the best one!
