Dagmar & Roman entschieden sich in diesem Frühjahr, aus Kärnten im Südwesten Österreichs anzureisen, um im sonnigen Mayrhofen zu heiraten.

Die Zeremonie war nur für uns vier (das Brautpaar, die Standesbeamtin und ich) und ich empfinde das immer als eine der höchsten Ehrungen, da ich eingeladen bin, Teil eines ganz besonderen und persönlichen Moments in zwei Völkern zu sein Leben. Nachdem die Zeremonie beendet war (und wir darauf bestanden, dass das Paar den traditionellen Zillertaler Hochzeitsmarsch tanzt!), verließen wir das Gemeindehaus in Mayrhofen und fuhren einfach aus der Stadt heraus zur Kapelle in Burgschrofen.

Dies ist ein beliebter Ort für diejenigen, die eine kirchliche Zeremonie wünschen, da es nicht nur eine wunderschöne Kapelle ist, sondern auch einen atemberaubenden Blick über die Umgebung bietet. Es liegt auf einem kleinen Hügel in der Mitte des Tals und ist von einem kleinen Wäldchen umgeben, was es ideal für verschiedene Arten von Fotos macht. Dies war an dem Tag nützlich, da die Frühlingssonne in voller Kraft schien, und wir beschlossen, die Bäume als Schatten für den Anfang des Fotoshootings zu verwenden. Das half bei den steigenden Temperaturen, das Sitzen ist für das Brautpaar nicht immer so angenehm, wenn ich lange in der Sonne herumstehe, während ich viele Fotos mache, und auch das direkte Sonnenlicht ist nicht immer das Beste, was vor allem starke Schatten erzeugt auf dem Gesicht.

Jeder wünscht sich einen schönen sonnigen Tag für seine Hochzeit, aber machen Sie sich keine Sorgen, wenn das nicht der Fall ist, denn wir werden immer noch schöne Fotos bekommen, wie Sie in den kommenden Artikeln sehen werden (das sind schließlich die Berge und wir haben keine Kontrolle über das Wetter! ).

Dagmar & Roman decided this spring, to travel from Carinthia in southwestern Austria, to get married in Sunny Mayrhofen.

The ceremony was just the four of us, (the bridal couple, registrar and myself) and I always find that to be one of the highest honours, as I am being invited to be a part to a very special and personal moment in two peoples lives. After the ceremony was completed (and we insisted that the couple dance the traditional Zillertaler Hochzeitsmarch!) we left the Gemeindehaus in Mayrhofen, and drove just out of town to the Chapel at Burgschrofen.

This is a favourite location for those who want a church ceremony as it is not only a beautiful chapel but commands stunning views over the surrounding area. It sits atop a small hill in the middle of the valley and has a small copse of trees surrounding it, which makes it great for different types of photos. This was useful on the day as the spring sun was in full force, and we decided to use the trees as shade for the beginning part of the photoshoot. This helped with the rising temperatures , sit is not always that comfortable for the bridal couple to be standing around in the sun for long periods while I take lots of photos, and also the direct sunlight is not always the most helpful, creating strong shadows especially on the face.

Everyone wants a beautiful sunny day for their wedding, but don’t worry if it isn’t as we will still get beautiful photos as you will see in forthcoming articles (this is the mountains after all and I have no control over the weather!
